Announcement Concerning
Sunday Outdoor Masses

We celebrate Mass outdoors at 8:00 AM and 10:00 AM. As we approach the end of Spring and the beginning of Summer, these Mass times will enable us to have our services before the heat of the day builds.

If you would like to attend, here are the details you need to know.
1) If the weather is nice, we will be blocking off the part of the parking lot that is in front of the Church. Once the remaining spaces fill up, you may need to park on the gravel areas behind the Church.
2) Please bring lawn chairs or a blanket and cluster together as a family, while maintaining 6-8 feet of space between you and other unrelated people.
3) Please wear a face mask.
4) There will be music provided but there will be no singing since it aspirates air from your respiratory tract and has been shown to travel more than 6-8 feet.
5) The body of Christ will be distributed after Mass and a social distancing friendly traffic pattern will be explained at each Mass prior to distribution of the Sacrament.
6) The restrooms in the Church will be available in the event of an emergency, but we ask you to plan ahead since it will be difficult to practice social distancing if many people need to use them.
7) The bishop has continued the relaxation the Sunday obligation, therefore you are not obliged to attend Mass. An online Mass in English and Spanish will continue to be provided while the obligation to attend in person is relaxed. Because of this consider the following:
a. If you are sick,
or someone who lives with you is sick, or has been in contact with someone who is sick, please do not attend the outdoor Mass.
b. If you are in a risk group, I recommend that you not attend.
c. If you have trouble walking, continue to enjoy the online Mass.
8) If there is bad weather, we will conduct the Mass under the portico of the Church, the entire parking lot will be available, and you are welcome to park facing the Church and attend the Mass in your car. Please bring an umbrella if you would like to come up for communion.
This is a completely new arrangement for us. I ask that you bear with us and each week we will make any adjustments that might be necessary. Welcome to our “new normal.” I hope these outdoor Masses bring you a sense of hope and I look forward to seeing you in person if you are able to join us.
