(New) Take another look at the budget for the New Church

(New) Fund Raiser(s) - Long-term Landscaping Plan / “Own a Tree”

Old Church & School:

  • (New) Had minor roofing repair as a result of recent wind storm
  • (New) Stepping stones installed in front of administration building connecting two side-walks
  • (New) New sod & grass seed applied in the back of the administration building.  This will prevent people from falling off the side-walk and hurting themselves due to an elevation change.
  • (New) The bearing assembly on the boiler failed and will cost $1,200 to repair.  Due to the drastic temperature change expected for the evening of 3/22, Phil McDonald will not be seeking alternate bids for this emergency repair.
  • (Old) Heat Pump in Church – Existing Cooling coming from three Heat Pumps – There are two smaller units and one larger unit.  One of the smaller units needs to be replaced – Able to meet current cooling & heating demands with existing units. - $2,500 – Still out and not presently scheduled to be replaced

New Church:

  • (New) City of High Point Inspector would like a two inch elevation to the right of the entrance off the main road.  Ed is talking with Brian Dillaway to determine if this work will be completed as part of the lawn maintenance contract.
  • (New) Dumpster pad installed by Rick Boedicker.  We had received two bids for the work from Simmons Landscaping and Boedicker Construction, with original quotes of $4,650 and $6,342, respectively.  We determined the lower bid would be closer to $5,000 when comparing the same specs.  After a discussion with Rick Boedicker, he agreed to do the work at cost as a donation to IHM (Existing Parishioner).   His invoice for the job is $3,677, creating a savings of approximately $1500 over our expected costs.  Some planting is to be completed around the new dumpster.
  • (New) A side-walk and parking area is to be established in the back of the church.  Will possibly use stepping-stones out to the actual parking lot.
  • (Old) Offices – Experiencing Humidity Problem – Being investigated by Bob Thesing – On Going
